The Curriculum

The medium of instruction of the course is English. The course covers comprehensively all aspects of hospital administration/management with particular emphasis on the practical knowledge. The Department will use pedagogical tools such as Lectures, Case Studies, Role-plays, Project assignments, Presentations and seminars from practicing managers in order to facilitate comprehensive and effective learning.

The Academic Programme is as below:

The examination for the Master of Hospital Management degree will be conducted by semester system. For this purpose, the programme, is divided into four semesters comprising of two years. Each semester will be of 12 to 14 working weeks.

SEMESTER – I

·        Principles of Management

*Hospital Visits:
Students have to visit a minimum of 3 Hospitals of different category, Government Hospital, TrustHospital, Single specialty Hospital, and Corporate Hospitals and spend around 50 hours which includes the visit time and the report writing time and presentations of the visits. Evaluation will be based on the attendance, reports and presentations by the students. Atleast two of the Hospital should have more than 100 beds. It will remain compulsory requirement for every students to visit hospitals as per above.

  • Project Report with Viva-Voce
